Information processed

The calculators use the numbers you enter to return estimates. These values appear in the result URL and may appear in browser history and hosting access logs. Do not enter personal or sensitive information. There are no user accounts, registration forms or active installation lead forms.

Necessary local storage remembers cookie preferences. If enabled and consented to, Google Analytics may process device, usage and network information. AdSense connection code loads on advertising-eligible pages for site review, with advertisement requests paused. Loading this code contacts Google and provides network information such as your IP address and browser details; it is not the same as showing advertisements.

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and page-load performance to help us identify slow pages and improve the service. This measurement is separate from optional Google Analytics.

Purposes and lawful bases

Necessary preference storage supports your privacy choices. Security and operational logs may be processed for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service under GDPR/RGPD and UK GDPR. Optional Google Analytics and advertisement delivery require your prior consent. Responding to voluntary correspondence is processed based on your consent and legitimate interests in answering inquiries.

Recipients and transfers

Hosting and database provider: Railway Corporation, with infrastructure located in Amsterdam, Netherlands (European Union). DNS, CDN and DDoS mitigation services: Cloudflare, Inc., under European Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). We do not sell calculator inputs or personal information.

Retention

Consent preferences expire after 180 days or when the policy version changes. Hosting and operational security logs are retained for 30 days for security monitoring and troubleshooting. Voluntary correspondence via email is retained for up to 12 months to address follow-up enquiries.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/RGPD) and UK GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw optional consent through Cookie preferences at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights.
