HomeChargeLab is an independent editorial and calculation project focused on home electric vehicle charging in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is operated from Spain by a self-employed proprietor. Our purpose is to help readers connect the practical questions: what their home can support, how long charging may take and what their electricity bill could look like.

The name HomeChargeLab reflects an approach built around explicit inputs and worked calculations. It does not imply an accredited testing laboratory. We do not install chargepoints or claim to have physically tested the products discussed in our guides.
